About the volunteering opportunity
Funds approved for the construction of a mobile cinema in our accommodation will be invested in a projector, screen, Blu-ray player, popcorn machine, etc. The room is currently being designed.
Your Tasks
Setting up the cinema in our volunteer café, together with the volunteer coordinator. Organization of film screenings for leisure activities, development of theme evenings (art/culture/music/democracy/sport) according to the needs of and with the refugees in our accommodation.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Enjoy showing films and subsequent discussions about the films shown. Knowledge of the medium of film (not a must), reliability, appreciative communication and empathy. A sense of humor. Intercultural and interreligious competence or openness.
