About the volunteering opportunity
To found a NABU group in Neukölln, we are looking for committed people who would like to get involved in nature conservation in the district (for example in insect or bird protection). The main focus is on practical nature conservation work. Anyone who cares about Berlin's nature is welcome to take on a voluntary position with the NABU Landesverband Berlin.
Your Tasks
We are committed to ensuring that Berlin's nature, with all its animal and plant species, thrives in the best possible way. Ecologically valuable areas should be preserved and areas that have already been destroyed should be restored wherever possible.
We also promote species protection with targeted measures to ensure that Berlin remains a city worth living in for people, animals and plants in the future.
Activities such as planting shrubs, hanging up and cleaning nesting boxes, collecting garbage, taking part in demonstrations, burying early flowering bulbs in the fall, pruning trees and much more would be possible.
You are welcome to contribute your own ideas by arrangement. You can decide exactly what your tasks will look like. There is a diverse and varied range of tasks. We will clarify which tasks fall within your area of activity in individual consultation.
