- Participation in free further training courses
- Certification of your acquired skills and experience in volunteering, e.g. Berlin Volunteer Passport
About the refugee accommodation:
In September 2015, the first residents moved into our shared accommodation for refugees in the easternmost district of Berlin. Almost 150 men, women and children from over 15 countries of origin now live in Rahnsdorf (Treptow-Köpenick) not far from Lake Dämeritz.
The 10-strong team is primarily dedicated to the social needs of the residents. Access to schools, visits to the doctor, visits to the authorities and arranging contacts with clubs and institutions are all part of the day-to-day tasks. It is particularly important to us to support our residents, which we can do with the help of volunteers. The focus here is on language lessons, care and individual support for children and enjoyable leisure activities. Organizing apprenticeships and internships for adults also plays an important role.
