About the Non-Profit Organisation
Deutscher Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverband (DBSV)
DBSV supports and consults people that are threatened or affected by a loss of their vision.
It's our aim to keep their social and professional position and to fight for better general conditions so they can design their lifes self-independently and self-determined.
We consist of 20 regional associations with around 36.000 blind or visually impaired members.
As the topics blindness and visual impairment are interdisciplinary, we are engaged in many parts of social life: work and career, accessibility, culture and media, sports, education, safety and mobility, development aid.
About the volunteering opportunity
Assistance for blind and visually impaired people at an international youth meeting
We are looking for committed volunteers for an international youth meeting. Participants are between 18 and 30 years old and blind or visually impaired. They come from nine nations (Spain, Italy, Belgium, Finland, Iceland, Romania, Georgia, Germany) and learn the most important basics of project management and European funding during the nine-day workshop. We need support for example with excursions and with the meals at the buffet.
