About the volunteering opportunity

Reading contributes to the holistic development of children and should be encouraged from an early age.
It awakens a love of reading, inspires enthusiasm for books, expands vocabulary and contributes to school success!
We are therefore looking for volunteer readers for two of our daycare centers in the Gallus district.

Your Tasks

You read to small groups once a week or every two weeks.
AWO-Frankfurt will help you choose books and give you tips and tricks for a successful reading session.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Enjoy books and reading aloud

Time required

Regularly
Discussed individually
Regularly (2-4 times a month).
Approx. one hour per assignment, during which time up to two groups of children can be read to.

Important notice

A valid certificate of good conduct and proof of protection against measles are required

Where?

AWO Kreisverband Frankfurt am Main e.V.

The AWO|FFM Volunteer Agency is located in the heart of the city and has been working with a team of 11 people since 2008 with over 500 social work institutions and arranges meaningful volunteer work in cooperation with many actors in the city. You will be informed in detail before your assignment, if necessary trained, insured and always have contact persons on site who will support you.
