About the volunteering opportunity
Local political activists are increasingly exposed to hostility. For our commitment against hate and violence, we are looking for
Volunteers for the further development of our social media work
to raise awareness of the issue, prepare news and present our association. We communicate with local politicians, partner organizations and civil society.

What should you bring with you?
- Experience in professional social media work
- Experience with digital applications such as Zoom, Google Drive etc.
- Basic technical equipment: camera and microphone
- German language skills level B2 or higher
- desirable: experience with Canva for content creation
- Enthusiasm (and basic understanding) for politics and our free, democratic system
- Interest in the topic of preventing hate and violence against local politicians
- Team spirit, communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with people
Your Tasks
- You can choose between one or more of the following activities:
- Developing and implementing a strategy to increase our reach (potentially setting up a new social media channel)
- Content creation for our social media channels (e.g. event information or content formats, documentation of the progress of the association's work)
- Community management (maintaining a network with our stakeholders)
- Developing and implementing a strategy to increase our reach (potentially setting up a new social media channel)
- optional further activities of the association such as moderation of workshops etc.

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
