About the volunteering opportunity
The inclusive company "Komm&Sieh" runs four second-hand neighbourhood stores, the TEXTILHAFEN with material pool, the upcycling label WaterToWine, the Re-Use Centre in the House of Materialization, the clothing store and laundry for homeless people, the logistics kitchen and helps with professional apartment clearances. The proceeds from "Komm & Sieh" support the social projects of the Berlin City Mission.
Your Tasks
Activity: You are the contact person for our customers and advise them. You will also look after the goods on the sales floor. On some days, you may also work at the checkout.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You will enjoy this voluntary position if: You enjoy working in a team and are a good communicator. You are a friendly face in the store and enjoy interacting with customers. An interest in fashion would be desirable, but is not a prerequisite.
Requirements: It is important that you can communicate well in German. Knowledge of English is an advantage, but not a must. You must be at least 18 years old for this voluntary position.
Expected attitude: You are convinced that every person has an inalienable dignity. You are respectful of the Christian faith as well as other religions and world views.
Time required
When: Monday - Friday between 12 and 8 pm
Time commitment: approx. 4-6 hours, at least 1 day per week, preferably more often. We are looking for a regular commitment.
