About the volunteering opportunity
the yoga course helps to promote physical fitness and flexibility and to find mental peace and relaxation. Our experienced yoga teacher has accompanied the participants over the past few months with great commitment and empathy, teaching them valuable techniques for stress management and self-care.
Your Tasks
1st **Preparation and planning of the course units:**
- Development and adaptation of yoga exercises that meet the needs and abilities of the participants.
- Integration of breathing techniques and relaxation exercises.
2. **Conducting the yoga class:**
- Instruction and demonstration of yoga exercises.
- Supporting and correcting participants in performing the exercises.
- Creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere in which all participants feel comfortable.
3. **Individual support:**
- Dealing sensitively with the individual needs and possible traumas of the refugee participants.
- Provision of alternative exercises for participants with physical limitations.
4. **Communication and cooperation:**
- Collaboration with the Haus Kopernikus team to coordinate and develop the course.
- Participation in regular team meetings and training.
5. **Documentation and feedback:**
- Documentation of course attendance and participants' progress.
- Obtaining and evaluating feedback in order to continuously improve the course.
