About the volunteering opportunity
The parent support project is aimed at pregnant women and families with children aged 0-3 years. Full-time and volunteer staff provide start-up assistance and support, accompany and relieve families individually. In this way, crisis phases of life that occur during birth or in the first years of life are bridged. "Parental support" aims to strengthen parents, give them self-confidence and ensure that they receive the support they need to raise their children in a stable and loving environment. It also promotes child development.
Your Tasks
The parent support project is a relief offer and is individually tailored to the needs of each family. For example, the tasks can include childcare, going for walks together, accompanying to appointments, helping with forms or registering for daycare, etc.
The parent helpers are supervised by specialists who, in addition to recruiting, selecting and training the volunteers, also hold regular reflection meetings, further training, team meetings and individual contact and availability for all those involved.

We in the Familienkreis advise, support and accompany Bonn families in stressful family situations. In various offers (parent helpers, piggyback, temporary grandparents, NewComer), our qualified volunteers provide families with individual assistance in everyday life.
