Parent helpline operator

Since 2001, the Parents' Helpline has been a nationwide service offering advice, counseling and information to support parents and other parents in the often difficult issues of raising children. The Bonn Child Protection Association offers free training courses for counseling on the parents' hotline. The course provides comprehensive preparation for a wide range of topics, with a particular focus on how to conduct conversations on the telephone. The training is carried out by qualified and experienced specialists. We also invite social organizations from Bonn to provide an overview of other offers of help. After the training, regular team meetings, supervisions and joint activities take place in order to shape the work together.

After successfully completing the free training as a volunteer counselor, you will support parents and other educators with their worries and fears. The time required for this volunteer work is at least 2-4 hours once a week.

At least once a week for 2-4 hours from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 11 am and/or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 pm to 7 pm. 

Working in a consulting team is a challenging task. It places high demands on your reliability and time commitment and requires a high degree of resilience and tolerance, for which we will prepare you professionally. The extensive training takes place together with other committed like-minded people under the guidance of a qualified specialist!
