Support us for a climate-neutral Berlin as "hat person": Working group communication

PLAN B 2030 is an association founded in 2023 and an implementation network of committed Berliners. Our goal is to make Berlin safe, social and climate-neutral by 2030. To achieve this, we are focusing on rapid, visible changes that offer tangible added value for many people in their everyday lives and create a climate of change. To achieve this, we work with methods from organizing, network building and campaigning. Our vision is to change the city through concrete projects, neighborhood by neighborhood. To this end, we organize and coordinate the commitment of the many active Berliners and cooperate with numerous changemakers, initiatives and organizations.

We are currently involved in two missions:

With the "Solar Power to the People" mission, we are bringing balcony power plants to the breadth of Berlin through advice and collective orders, thus helping tenants to benefit from the solar turnaround. In the Balkonkraftwerk Initiative Berlin and the Senate's implementation alliance, we network with administration, politics, the housing industry and civil society to remove structural hurdles.

With our neighborhood program "GemeinsamKiez" (working title), we are developing low-threshold support services for people who want to work with their neighbors to make their homes, streets and neighborhoods safe, social and climate-neutral.

In order to reach as many people as possible, we need you and your voluntary support!

As in every working group, there is a role for coordinating a small group of volunteers who work together in a decentralized manner via Slack, Notion, Canva and Drive. The "hat person" has the task of supporting the other volunteers, coordinating their work with each other and informing the core team about strategic tasks and important dates and events and then setting up the PLAN B communication operationally.

Tasks

Preparation of meetings (also passing on responsibility for smaller roles such as moderation, minutes) by invitation, creation of the zoom call, maintenance of the notion

Taking responsibility for timekeeping of smaller projects such as flyer production or pitch deck finalization

You have the desire to implement a strategy operationally. You like to organize, you enjoy creating order and an overview for others, you can coordinate a range of tasks in terms of time and with several contact persons. You enjoy writing messages and sometimes making phone calls.

approx. 4-8 hours per week for meetings and agreements with individual people to complete individual tasks

Participation in one of the following meetings: AK Communication (currently Fridays 9 am) and ideally the core team meetings (Mondays 10 am) or 1:1 discussion with Lu Yen
