About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for a committed volunteer for regular visits for Mr. P., a 69-year-old resident of our residential community for older people. Mr. P. is still relatively mentally fit, very communicative and has a background in construction. He has recently moved into our shared apartment and would be happy to have someone to talk to on a regular basis.
Your commitment can make a big difference to Mr. P's wellbeing and quality of life by providing him with regular entertainment and companionship.

Your Tasks
- Regular visits to Mr. P. for stimulating conversations and exchanges about his experiences in the construction industry and other topics.
- Empathetic companionship and entertainment tailored to his interests and needs.
- Support in giving him a sense of community and belonging.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- you will need intermediate knowledge (B1) of German for this volunteering opportunity.
- Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with people who have had a turbulent life story.
- Reliability and regular availability for visits, ideally by a male volunteer.
Time required
1h or 2h/week.
Also possible on weekends.
Regular visits to Mr. P. in the mornings between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm and in the afternoons between 02:00 pm and 06:00 pm.
The exact time of the visit can be arranged individually with Mr. P. in order to meet his needs.
