About the volunteering opportunity
As a non-profit organization, we at StarCode e.V. actively promote more gender diversity in the IT industry. By offering free programming courses for girls aged 11 to 19, we aim to spark enthusiasm for computer science at an early age, boost self-confidence and open up new perspectives. Our aim is to introduce girls to the diverse opportunities and career options in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) sector - with an open, inspiring community that makes them want to pursue the future!

Your Tasks
Your commitment - how you can support us!
Whether you want to support us in the organization in the background, in direct educational work or in expanding our network - you will find a wide range of opportunities to get involved with us:
📢 Outreach & Marketing: Increase our visibility through creative campaigns and social media - gain new supporters for our mission.
🎉 HR & Recruiting: Find committed volunteers, help them get started and strengthen team cohesion.
📊 Finance: Plan budgets, find new sources of funding and maintain contacts with funding partners.
⚖️ Legal: Support us with legal issues and keep our association's work legally compliant.
💻 IT & Tech: Design our digital education programs and develop internal tools.
📍 Local groups: Build new locations and strengthen existing local teams.
📅 Organization & Administration: Ensure smooth processes in the background and support us with administrative tasks.
We are currently looking for support in these areas in particular:

- Online team: You will design and manage the development of our internal virtual community in the StarCode Association.
- Management (higher-level): You manage part of our team, coordinate overarching tasks and ideally have experience in employee management and enjoy taking on responsibility.
Would you like to get involved, learn new things and grow together with us? Then we would be delighted if you could enrich one of the following teams with your commitment!
- Support and foundation of local groups
- Finances
- Outreach (social media)
- HR (human resources / team and personnel development)
Previous experience in the respective areas is welcome, but not a must - we will support you in getting started and are also happy to welcome career changers.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

Your profile - what you should bring with you
- An interest in social change and the promotion of young talent
- Your school or university days are not too long ago
- German language skills suitable for everyday use
- Reliability, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team

- Interest in education and IT (not a must, but an advantage)
