About the volunteering opportunity
An offer from the Malteser Integration Service MIZ:
Many young people with refugee or migration experience need help learning German or with homework. Would you like to help them learn online? As part of our "Shaping future prospects together" project, we would like to support young people from non EU countries and offer them the help they need through online tutoring. In doing so, you can improve the students' basic IT skills, which are necessary for their professional and academic future.
Online tutoring offers you a flexible commitment and saves you the travel time in a big city like Berlin. Online engagement provides students with an easy path to tutoring and thus to a better future. We want to make access to tutoring easier through online learning sponsorships. If you have a good basic knowledge of how to use computers, Office, the Internet, etc., etc., you can provide great support to young people through our project. We provide laptops and off you go!

Online tutoring for young refugees
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
What you should bring:
- Basic knowledge in the use of Office and video chat platforms such as Zoom, the Internet...
- Desire for digital volunteering
- Openness to working with people from different cultural backgrounds
- an extended certificate of good conduct is required

The tandems have the flexibility to agree how often and when they would like to meet online. You can also connect flexibly either via smartphone or laptop and join in at the lesson.
