Information about the request
Description
Zentrum ÜBERLEBEN provides care for people, some of whom have experienced severe trauma. In addition to psychotherapeutic help, they can also participate in complementary support programs, such as our creative therapy group, which sometimes includes sewing. There, they create clothing, bags, and pillowcases, and participants experience the joy of creating something beautiful and useful with their own hands. In addition to finding relief from the burdens of everyday worries, they find peace and experience a sense of self-efficacy. However, due to drastic cuts in funding, we currently lack the money to purchase materials for various projects. That’s why we’d be very grateful for sewing supplies, especially fabric. Fabric scraps are also very welcome!
If you’re unsure whether we can use your donation, please feel free to contact us in advance. We’d be happy if you could drop off the materials at our location or send them by mail.

Zentrum ÜBERLEBEN
In the Zentrum ÜBERLEBEN (Survival Centre) survivors of violence and escape as well as people with different migration stories find medical, psychotherapeutic, social work as well as integrative support. In addition to rehabilitation and integration, scientific support and documentation contribute to the general gain of knowledge in the field of trauma and therapy as well as to the development of scientific standards.
