Inclusion - living self-determined Lebenshilfe wants a society in which all people are welcome and belong in all areas of life from the very beginning. Young and old, people with different abilities, regardless of origin. All people have the same rights. They want to be able to live self-determined according to their own ideas.
People with impairments should get exactly the support they need. This is what the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities assures them. Cooperate. Co-determination. Shaping. People with disabilities, their relatives, full-time employees and volunteers shape Lebenshilfe Berlin.

Objectives
Together we work to further improve the quality of life and participation opportunities of each individual. We support people with impairments in representing their interests. In residents' advisory councils, the Berlin Council and other forms of interest representation, they voice their opinions and have a say. Relatives are involved in the management board, supervisory board and advisory boards. They get involved in parents' groups and volunteer on the parents' telephone.
We provide high-quality services for the realization of inclusion, participation and social participation of people with disabilities. We take the approach that disability arises from the interaction between individual impairments and attitudinal and environmental barriers. We accompany people with disabilities on their way to an equal and self-determined life. Our services help them and their families to achieve participation and quality of life. The focus is on individual abilities, ideas, wishes and needs. Particularly important to us are the participation and well-being of people with high support needs.
