India Child Care e.V.
We are committed to sustainably freeing children and communities from marginalized groups in India from the cycle of poverty, exploitation and child labour. To this end, we initiate, finance and support village schools and, in collaboration with partners and farmers, accompany the communities on their way to producing and marketing their own organic honey. Among other things, this leads to their own income, new prospects for the future and supports the ecosystem.

Target group(s)
In India, children are still enslaved, exploited or systematically excluded from education because they were born into poverty or a "low" caste. We say: no child should have to grow up like this. With our work, together with local partners on the ground, we create real prospects through education, training, income and the development of a new self-confidence. In addition to the children themselves, their parents, village communities and surrounding farmers are also involved so that the communities can grow as a whole and develop in the long term.

Funding
We are financed exclusively through donations and membership fees. However, income-generating activities such as trips to the project locations are planned. Our team is spread all over Germany. Helping hands are also active in India itself and in Thailand. In Germany, we work completely remotely, self-organized and purely on a voluntary basis. However, we put our heart and soul into it and regularly exchange ideas between the federal states and continents. With us, you don't just "volunteer" - you become part of a small movement.
Objectives
Our concrete main goals currently consist of
- the operation and expansion of the school we realized and opened in Bihar in 2023
- supporting and opening further schools (in cooperation with the respective local partners)
- the expansion of apiaries in various schools and facilities
- the further development of a prototype as a resource hub
- the organization and ongoing (mainly) student travel groups to the project locations
For this we need you if you
- would like to contribute your social media skills (technical or content-related) (you will receive access to the tools)
- would like to invest time and commitment in these issues as a designer / developer (please ask for details)
- would like to strengthen upcoming activities to attract sponsors and partners as an ambassador
- would like to help us mobilize members, sponsors and supporters
With us, everything can be done remotely, in any time zone and flexibly by arrangement. However, this does not mean that we do not exist in person - that is also possible.
