About the volunteering opportunity
Sometimes change starts very small: with a school on the edge of a village. Or with beehives that help families and communities to generate their own income and achieve independence. This is exactly what we do at India Child Care e.V. - step by step, concretely and together with the local people and cooperation between Germany and India.
Our school is now in its third year and the first beehives have already been set up. But we don't want to stop there. We want to reach even more people, gain sponsors for beehives and make our internship program better known.
We work closely with universities and partner organizations. Our internships are individually adaptable - in terms of time, duration and field of study - and take place at various project locations in India. There are also opportunities for non-students to gain an insight. The next round will start in October 2025. We need you for this.
- You will help us tell our stories online - via social media, short videos, images or texts.
- You help us to build bridges - by drawing the attention of exciting people, initiatives or organizations to us.
- You make it easier for sponsors, students and project visitors to find their way to us.

In addition to the association's work, we are also developing digital solutions that will directly strengthen our beekeeping projects and work with the communities in the future. If this interests you, please get in touch.
Your Tasks
As a volunteer, you will help us to make our work more visible and build new bridges. Your tasks can vary depending on your interests - the important thing is that you enjoy creating and networking.
Possible activities:
- Preparing posts, short texts or graphics for social media
- Create short videos or photo series that show our projects in a lively way
- Making people, initiatives or organizations aware of our work

Spreading ideas for sponsoring and our internship program
- Optional: thinking along with digital solutions that strengthen our projects in the long term
You don't have to do everything - even a small contribution makes a big difference.

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
German language skills are required
English language skills desirable (but not essential)
We are also active with helping hands in Thailand. Our local partners are also represented in Southeast Asia and corresponding language skills or a background would be exciting in any case - but not primarily relevant for the tasks of this engagement.

You are completely flexible in terms of time. Within the arrangements we make for a specific task or campaign, for example. Which day of the week or what time you are active is entirely up to you.
Your own ideas are very welcome and we are open to anything that makes sense. We listen and are always there with open ears and eyes.

We are committed to sustainably freeing children and communities from marginalized groups in India from the cycle of poverty, exploitation and child labour. To this end, we initiate, finance and support village schools and, in collaboration with partners and farmers, accompany the communities on their way to producing and marketing their own organic honey. Among other things, this leads to their own income, new prospects for the future and supports the ecosystem.
