Support in the area of fundraising & marketing

We offer committed volunteers a friendly working environment where meaningful work is done. Working at We-Building provides an exciting insight into the non-profit sector and working in a family team. The tasks at We-Building are varied: preparing workshops and assisting in their implementation, maintaining social media channels, helping with fundraising and gaining insight into the planning processes of an NGO.

We are constantly looking for creative ways of fundraising in order to have enough funds for our projects. Since many of the foundations are based in Germany, you should have a good knowledge of German - but our team is mostly English-speaking.

In the area of marketing, we are looking for support for our social media channels.

Your Tasks

You will support us in fundraising by actively searching for foundations and helping to prepare applications for funds. You will provide us with an overview of possible foundations and public funding, first compiling the framework for funding. Then we go through the possibilities together and apply for the funding!

For our social media channels, you will prepare a few posts per month and once a quarter you will write a newsletter with all the information about our projects.

What's needed

If you have previous experience in fundraising or marketing, this is of course a help, but not a prerequisite for working with us. We will support you in your tasks and guide you through new topics! The only important thing is that you want to volunteer and are motivated to get involved with us. Since our team is made up of people from different countries, you should have a basic knowledge of English.

Time required

We require a minimum of 3 months of commitment in our organization.

Important notice

If you speak English, this would be a great advantage, because our team communicates most of the time in English.

We-Building e.V. is an association of international architects based in Berlin.

We have two main focuses:

Consulting on building projects in the Global South

We support developmentally active organizations that pursue building projects in the Global South with consulting. Based on the experience gained from our construction projects, we pursue sustainable approaches to planning and implementation. In recent years, we have built educational facilities in Ghana, Malawi, Colombia and Peru with our local partners.

Education work in Germany

The construction sector is a key driver of climate change. With workshops and lectures at schools in Berlin and at public events, we create awareness for this problem and for the fact that construction as well as the use of buildings must be designed in a globally just way.

Because sustainable architecture and education can contribute to a socially, ecologically and economically more just future!
