About the volunteering opportunity
The Bürgerstiftung Neukölln will have a stand at the Alt-Rixdorf Christmas Market from December 5 to 7.
We also run a flea market stand in the immediate vicinity, for which we also need support. Visitors to the Christmas market also visit the flea market, for which we need a lot of support.

The Rixdorf Christmas market is very popular due to its beautiful and cozy atmosphere. You can buy high-quality homemade items there. With the sales, we support organizations, initiatives and school classes in their work and projects through a development fund.
The Bürgerstiftung Neukölln is committed to equal opportunities and community coexistence in Neukölln: two children and youth projects, two participation projects and various volunteer projects are working towards this goal. We want to raise funds for our important projects. We are sharing the stand with the Neuköllner Engagement Zentrum NEZ, which promotes voluntary work in Neukölln.
Would you like to sell rummage, mulled wine or grog, homemade items and calendars? We also want to pass on information about our projects and plans.
Your Tasks
We are looking for
People who want to experience the Christmas market from a stand perspective.
You can choose your shifts on Friday, December 5 between 5 and 9 pm, but especially on Saturday, December 6 between 2 and 9 pm and on Sunday, December 7 between 2 and 8 pm. One of us will always be there. Snacking is allowed.
If you feel like it, you can help with the dismantling on Sunday evening.
On Thursday, December 5 and Monday, December 9, we are looking for people to set up and take down the stand.
A stand is also a good place to practice German and make contacts.

Important notice
If you have a certificate of instruction according to the Infection Protection Act (Belehrung nach Infektionsschutzgesetz), which you need to sell food, bring it with you. Otherwise, we will put you to work selling calendars and handicrafts!

In 2005 over 100 people founded in Neukölln the first neighbourhood community-foundation of Germany. They have united in order to encourage people for a new start. N+ is a community platform for the creation of a appreciative cooperation of which associations, church communities, house projects, initiatives, companies and individuals are taking part. The Bürgerstiftung Neukölln has been started a lot of projects and has been supporting different initiatives in Neukölln which are working for a better education, a diverse culture and mutual respect. In this way the vision of a intercultural city is taking shape.
