About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for volunteers in the medical services, the technical and logistics group with heavy equipment, in the motorcycle squadron, in disaster and civil protection, in youth work and in other projects outside the "blue light" sector, such as the Johanniter Christmas Trucker or the Teddy Clinic.
Civil protection, for example, involves protecting and helping the population in the event of all types of danger - before and after a disaster occurs. These can be natural and environmental disasters, pandemics, acts of terrorism or wars, but also the care of refugees after their arrival in Germany.

Your Tasks
Our main task is to provide those affected with medical and psychological care and to provide them with emergency accommodation. A civil protection unit therefore includes doctors, rescue service personnel and staff with experience in care and crisis intervention. The logistical tasks are carried out by helpers who are qualified in technical, manual or telecommunications skills. In order to be prepared for emergencies, we train our emergency services in practical exercises on a regular basis.
