About the volunteering opportunity
On Thursday, November 26, we are looking for 3 energetic volunteers to help us prepare for the cold weather relief! The task is to load and unpack beds, boxes and hygiene articles for around 150 homeless people. Your commitment will have a direct impact on the lives of many people who depend on our help during the cold season.
When can you do it?
You can sign up for one of the following shifts:
- 1st shift: 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
location: Panorama Nord - hostel for homeless people, Unionhilfswerk, Osloer Straße 80, 13359 Berlin
- 2nd shift: 11:30 - 14:30
location: Goslarer Platz 8, 10589 Berlin
It is also possible to help for both shifts!
The commitment is ideal for anyone who likes to lend a hand and make a practical contribution. No knowledge of German is required, anyone can join in!
Why should you be there?
Once again this year, UNIONHILFSWERK will provide homeless people with warm accommodation and important support during the cold months as part of Berlin's Kältehilfe program. From December 2, 2024 to April 30, 2025, we will ensure that around 150 homeless people can stay overnight and be cared for without bureaucracy.
If you would like to help in a valuable and meaningful project, please get in touch! The contact person on site on 26.11. is Pablo Sachsenweger, who will actively support you.
Join in and be part of this important commitment!

Stiftung Unionhilfswerk Berlin - Team die freiwilligen im Unionhilfswerk
Since 1946, the UNIONHILFSWERK has been providing social aid out of Christian responsibility. To this day, we remain committed to those who depend on care and support. Our commitment is shaped by our mission statement "to create an individual quality of life" in order to help people to help themselves. Originating from 70 years of civic involvement, voluntary involvement continues to be a fundamental pillar of our commitment to others. As an alliance of the corporate foundation, association, six non-profit organisations and support foundation, UNIONHILFSWERK offers a wide range of possible applications and a commitment-friendly framework.
