Buddyprogram "Arriving in Leipzig. Buddies for refugees"

Our program "Arriving in Leipzig. Buddies for Refugees" is all about helping refugees to settle in properly in our city of Leipzig. That's why we need you! You support people who are just getting to know Leipzig. How you want to support them - by helping them learn the language, going to the authorities or spending their free time together - is entirely up to you. We are at your side, offer workshops, lectures and language courses and regularly invite you to get-togethers. We also offer integration advice for all questions relating to your stay and volunteer interpreters if you ever need language support.

Support with language acquisition, general everyday support, e.g. with visits to the authorities; the focus of the sponsorship is agreed individually

We require an extended police clearance certificate; however, you can obtain a template from us so that you can apply for it free of charge at the Citizens' Registration Office

The exchange in the sponsorships should always be tolerant, friendly and at eye level; we do not accept discrimination of any kind in our program.
