About the volunteering opportunity
For a young girl in a shelter we are looking for someone who enjoys helping with learning German, reading and homework.
Your Tasks
- Homework help: Support with daily schoolwork to consolidate her learning success and build self-confidence.
- Playful learning of German: Promoting her language skills through creative, child-friendly methods that are fun.
- Reading promotion: Reading together and playful exercises to improve her reading skills and inspire a love for books.
Just once a week for 1-2 hours can make a big difference - twice a week would be even better! :-)
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
Your profile:
- Enjoy working with children and people from different cultures
- Patience, flexibility and openness in dealing with different needs
- Good knowledge of German to help with learning and settling in (mother tongue not required)
