About the volunteering opportunity
At the Johanniter Teddy Clinic, children become helpers to care for their cuddly toys. "First aiders of tomorrow" - in a playful way.
It is a wonderful, playful way to familiarize children with ambulances and equipment: The Teddy Clinic is designed to take away the fear of medical procedures from three to ten-year-olds and also show them what help for their beloved teddies, monkeys, dogs and dinosaurs can look like. The emergency number 112, what should I say? What belongs in a first aid kit? A toy car or disposable gloves? Each child and their parent, sibling or friend will also perform the recovery position and its associated steps independently with the support of the Johanniter team. Using a catchy phrase, the individual steps are carried out and thus memorized for the future.
