With our "Erlebnis-Umwelt-Lern-Mobil", or "EULe" mobile for short, we are creating new locations for recreational educational play and sports activities with a special focus on sustainability and environmental education in close proximity to existing refugee accommodation in the Berlin-Lichtenberg district. The mobile has a large repertoire of educational equipment and materials, which enables the implementation of a wide range of activities, such as upcycling, repairing & tinkering, researching and gardening. By doing things together and the flexibility of the techniques and working methods, offers can be designed to be particularly low-threshold and inclusive - often non-verbal, always in easy language and taking into account the different requirements of the participants. This not only enables children and young people to spend their leisure time in a meaningful way, but also combines this with the teaching and development of manual and nature-related skills.
We are always looking for volunteers who would like to support one of our weekly assignments as a childcare worker. Under the guidance of a member of the No Offside! team, you will supervise play and sports activities at refugee shelters and can also contribute your own ideas and interests. In this way, you not only enable children to spend important time playing sports and games, but also contribute to enriching encounters between people from different backgrounds. If you would like to join EULe, you can apply here.
Anyone can get involved in Kein Abseits! However, patience and experience in dealing with kids aged 5 to 15 are of course very helpful. We look forward to your flexibility in dealing with unexpected situations, a wealth of ideas for activities and lots of positive energy and perseverance as well as a certain level of commitment! We also require an extended certificate of good conduct from all volunteers.
