About the volunteering opportunity
Are you passionate about knitting and want to share your skills in a fun, supportive environment? Join Wellbeing for Everyone, a Berlin-based non-profit dedicated to fostering inclusion, mental health, and community through creativity.
We’re looking for a second volunteer to co-lead a knitting workshop, meaning you won’t need to be there every week! You’ll work alongside another volunteer, taking turns and collaborating to inspire participants to learn and enjoy knitting. Together, you’ll create a warm, welcoming space for participants to connect, relax, and express themselves.
Support us for at least 6 months, about 2–4 hours per week including workshop preparation, helping of promotion, managing booking system for workshop.
Your Tasks
- Co-Lead Workshops: Take turns with another volunteer to teach knitting techniques in a way that’s accessible and fun.
- Foster Creativity: Encourage participants to experiment with patterns, colors, and styles.
- Build Connection: Create an inclusive space where participants feel comfortable expressing themselves and connecting with others.
- Collaborate: Plan and coordinate workshops with your co-leader and the organization’s team.
- Support Participants: Provide guidance and assistance during workshops, ensuring everyone feels supported.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
- Knitting Skills: Confidence in basic and intermediate techniques (advanced skills are a bonus but not required).
- Passion for Sharing: A love for knitting and a desire to share your skills with others.
- Empathy and Patience: Comfort working with diverse participants, including beginners.
- Creativity: Openness to exploring new knitting styles and ideas.
- Team Spirit: Willingness to collaborate with your co-leader and the organization’s team.

Welcome to For Everyone
For Everyone is a Berlin-based non-profit that creates safe, creative, and welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life — especially internationals and newcomers — can connect and feel at home.
For Everyone is a Berlin-based non-profit that creates safe, creative, and welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life — especially internationals and newcomers — can connect and feel at home.
Through art, music, and movement, we foster real human connection, belonging, and emotional wellbeing. Our community café, No. 52 at Boxhagener Platz, hosts weekly workshops and small events for adults (mostly 18–40+). Each session blends creativity with care: it’s not about performance, but about what happens between people while they’re creating together.
Our wider vision is a diverse and resilient Berlin — a city where everyone feels at home and can take part in community life. To make that possible, we’re building the social infrastructure for belonging: connecting spaces, people, and volunteers across the city.
We believe in joy, inclusion, and authenticity — and thanks to our solidarity-based ticketing system, everyone can join, no matter their financial background.
If you care about making others feel welcome, believe in the power of creativity, and want to help people feel a little more at home in Berlin — you’re in the right place. 💛
