Support young people in learning German and in their vocational training

In the mentoring project of our MARIE volunteering office, people from Berlin who want to support other people come together in 1:1 mentoring. We are looking for people who would like to accompany refugees or other people in need of support and make it easier for them to settle into a new environment. Personal contact at eye level in particular helps people to get to know each other better and learn from each other. Prejudices can be broken down and replaced by shared experiences.

We offer you: full-time contact persons, regular information, invitations to joint activities and events, proof of commitment, reimbursement of (BVG) travel expenses if required.

In cooperation with the Jugendmigrationsdienst Lichtenberg (Fennpfuhl), we are regularly looking for people to support young people (aged between 12 and 27) in their learning. The clients of the Youth Migration Service often catch up on their school-leaving qualifications, attend German courses or are already in vocational training. Mentoring is therefore often about improving their German language skills. However, support in other subjects such as math, biology or English is sometimes also desired.
