About the volunteering opportunity
At our Rheuma League Berlin health center, we offer daily exercise and health courses for people with limited mobility who are frequently affected by rheumatism. These include older people, but also children and young people. Before and after the therapies, our guests can stop off at our self-help café . Together, we create an important place for the neighborhood where health, well-being and community are the focus.
As part of our team as a house angel, you are the first point of contact at reception and in the café and ensure that all guests feel welcome and well looked after.

- Serving coffee and cake
- Assisting people with restricted mobility on the way to and in the changing room
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
We are looking for a friendly person who likes to have a chat at reception and still keeps an eye on a tidy environment.
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 3 hours per week.
We would like you to support us for 2-4 hours per week. We will take your weekly schedule into account when drawing up our shift plan.
Important notice
We offer you guidance from experts, a lively exchange of experiences with other volunteers, reimbursement of costs incurred and further training and qualification opportunities. In addition, you are covered by our liability and accident insurance and can take part in free excursions and events.
Since many of our visitors have limited mobility, our health center is barrier-free, i.e. we have wide entrances, the self-help café is at ground level and we have a barrier-free toilet. The activities require little physical effort. It's best to let us know your needs and we'll see how we can adapt the commitment for you individually
