About the volunteering opportunity
Loneliness affects millions of people in Germany - and we want to do something about it! The German Rheumatism League Berlin plans excursions in and around Berlin to enable our members to enjoy valuable encounters and shared experiences. Whether excursions to sights, cultural events or cozy visits to Christmas markets - with your support as a bus driver you make these moments possible. The starting point is always our office, where the bus is parked. After that, you are free to decide where you want to go.
Your Tasks
- Trips with our own Rheuma League bus (9 people incl. driver)
- Organization of day trips in Berlin and Brandenburg
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You will receive the bus from the club. Of course, you will need a class B driver's license and enjoy driving and dealing with people. A sense of responsibility is essential.

As the excursions are coordinated by you, the assignments are flexible. We would be happy about at least two trips a year - more is always possible.
Important notice
We offer you guidance from experts, a lively exchange of experiences with other volunteers, reimbursement of costs incurred and further training and qualification opportunities. In addition, you are covered by our liability and accident insurance and can take part in free excursions and events.

"Rheumatism" is a serious form of disease in many facets. In Germany, almost 17 million people suffer from a rheumatic disease.
Everyone can be affected: from children, to teenagers to younger or older adults.
As a registered association "German Rheumatism League Berlin", we offer those affected help to help themselves. At the center of our work are the four actions: movement, advice, meeting and accompaniment. We support, advise and accompany those affected with a variety of offers as close to home as possible in all districts of Berlin
