About the volunteering opportunity
Our residents regularly require assistance and/or support with visits to the authorities, applications or other activities.
The residents in our accommodation are very diverse: families, single people, people with disabilities, people who do not yet speak enough German to be able to communicate well, but also people who generally need support with official tasks. They are dependent on support from people who speak their language or are familiar with certain formalities or can familiarize themselves with them relatively quickly.
Your Tasks
We are looking for supporters who can come to our accommodation during the week (mornings) and, if necessary, accompany residents by public transport or on foot. The duration of the assignment would be approx. 2-3 hours, the number of assignments depends on the need and the number of people being cared for. Ideally you speak one of the following languages: Romanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Russian, Dari/Pashto.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
Romanian, Arabic or Russian language skills are ideal, but all other languages are also advantageous, as our residents are very diverse.
Time required
The assignments depend on demand, approx. 1-2x per month for 2-3 hours.
