Active members wanted for our public guided tours at Singen Observatory

The Singen Observatory regularly offers public guided tours, group events and special tours. In order to be able to continue this offer, we are looking for enthusiastic people who would like to share their fascination for the universe with our visitors.

There are many opportunities to get actively involved. These include assisting with public and group tours, giving talks on astronomical topics or answering visitors' questions. Operating the star dome and accompanying sky observations are also exciting tasks that you can take part in. The aim is to bring guests closer to the wonders of the universe and explain astronomy to them in an understandable way.

No special previous knowledge is required. All that is important is your interest in astronomy, your enjoyment of interacting with people and your willingness to pass on your knowledge in an understandable way. Intensive training is provided by our experienced members so that you can gradually grow into your tasks. Your commitment will help to ensure that the Singen Observatory is maintained in its current form and that we can continue to offer exciting events for the public.

As a member of the association, you will be part of a dedicated team that will provide you with advice and knowledge on astronomical questions. Regardless of whether you already have experience in astronomy or are just starting out, we will help you to deepen your understanding of astronomy. We also meet regularly on clear nights to observe the starry sky together with our telescopes and share our experiences.

Our regular tours take place on the first or second Friday evening of the month. In addition, there are special tours that are organized in consultation with the members.
