About the volunteering opportunity
The Peaceful Walpurgis Night calls for exuberant and peaceful celebrations in the Mauerpark, with dancing into May, bonfires, fire artistry, soap bubbles and music.
The dance into May is the modern and peaceful form of the old custom and ultimately heralds the arrival of summer.

For 20 years, the Friends of Mauerpark e.V., supported by the Pankow District Office, Grün Berlin, the Mauerpark Cultural Community and numerous neighbors, have been celebrating a peaceful and creative Walpurgis Night in Mauerpark.
Residents, visitors and creative people create a festive evening: with a children's program, bonfire, music, fire juggling, soap bubbles and a dance into May.

- You lend a hand and shape this special evening together with us.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
As a steward, you should be reliable, responsible and a team player. A friendly but firm demeanor, resilience and communication skills are essential.

The Peaceful Walpurgis Night will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in Mauerpark.
Important notice
The festival takes place outdoors. Please remember to wear suitable, warm and weatherproof clothing.

Our association was founded in 1999 as a group of friends of local residents. We are passionately committed to Mauerpark, regardless of party political or financial interests.
We work together with other initiatives, the administration and the neighborhood and are a constant point of contact for users and visitors. We look for sustainable and socially acceptable solutions in the interests of all users and support cultural projects in the park.
We like to lend a hand ourselves, e.g. by organizing festivals, trimming hedges, watering trees and cleaning the park. Supporters as active members or as financial sponsors of our association are always very welcome.
