About the volunteering opportunity
"Teilhabenetz" brings young and old together and combats loneliness and isolation in the district of Pankow.
Around 62,000 people over 60 live in this part of Berlin, many of whom feel lonely and isolated. At the same time, 33,000 young people between the ages of 18 and 27 live here. Loneliness is also a major issue in this age group.

This is exactly where the project comes in. Young volunteers meet with senior citizens once a week and organize their free time together. Movies, walks, board games or simply conversations - whatever brings joy can be done.
If you are at least 18 years old, enjoy socializing and fun activities or just want to help out, get in touch!
You will receive training from us and we will put you in touch with senior citizens. We will be there for you as a contact person throughout the project.

Your Tasks
Meet up with a senior once a week for 90 minutes and do something fun.
Go to a museum, watch a movie, take a walk through the park or help with shopping. If you feel comfortable with it and it brings joy to you and the senior, then go for it.
