About the volunteering opportunity
For 10 years, people from Düsseldorf - Holthausen have written down their history(ies), everyday life, the typical and special features of their district, researched, collected photos and facts, dates and names, compiled them into themed boards and found a place to put them up at the appropriate locations in the district! For new and old residents of Holthausen, there are now 50 boards to discover, which help to understand, arrive or remember the district.
Your Tasks
You take over the "sponsorship" for some of the signs on the trail that are set up in your neighborhood. This means that, if necessary, you cut them free, clean them or report any damage or if a sign is missing.
You take part in publicity campaigns for our project and/or draw attention to our project in your neighborhood and among your circle of friends.
You meet with other volunteers and the artist Anne Mommertz at the Zentrum plus Holthausen approximately every six months to exchange ideas and develop possible publicity campaigns, for example small guided tours, information stands at district festivals etc. to pass on our local history.
