About the volunteering opportunity
The intercultural center Pangea Haus offers various activities in the areas of education, advice and encounters to facilitate the integration process of newcomers in Wilmersdorf and Berlin. To this end, a language café is held on Mondays from 4 to 6 pm. The language café is aimed at all levels and anyone who would like to improve their German language skills.
Your Tasks
In view of the constantly increasing number of participants, we are looking for new volunteers who have the time and inclination to talk to the participants once, twice or several times a month and help them learn the language.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
It is not necessary to be a teacher or have teaching experience. What is important is that you are open-minded and patient.

At Pangea House, we combine counseling, educational and social services in one place. For us, support also means human connection, solidarity and equality. The Pangea House sees itself as a place of mutual encounter. People in different life situations meet here and come into contact with both familiar and different realities.
On six floors, 23 predominantly migrant self-organizations as well as non-profit associations and institutions work together with intercultural and integration policy approaches. The district's Pangea-Haus provides a platform for this cooperation by pooling resources and promoting exchange and networking between the resident associations and institutions. In this way, we offer the associations and people who come to us a framework of support. Within this framework, they can design the support structures that are right for them in a self-determined and needs-oriented manner.
