Accompanying a neighbor who feels lonely

AGNES is a sponsorship program that focuses on personal one-to-one encounters to actively counteract loneliness. Loneliness is a complex issue that is still taboo and can affect people of all ages. Through regular personal meetings and the trusting exchange within the framework of AGNES, it is possible to build mutual trust and noticeably alleviate the feeling of loneliness.

The joint activities depend entirely on the interests and needs of you and your tandem. For example, you can arrange to meet up for a coffee, help with the shopping, go to the cinema or theater together or go for a walk together. In short: Anything you both feel like doing is possible!

You should be of legal age, at least 18 years old. 

The volunteering should take place regularly, but you and your tandem decide the frequency and length of the meetings together.

A detailed certificate of good conduct is required and we will help you to apply for it.
