About the volunteering opportunity
With the Lichtenberg Emergency Entrance campaign, Lichtenberg institutions, stores, restaurants and citizens show that they do not tolerate discrimination and violence. A sign or poster from the Noteingang campaign in the window or on the door signals that these establishments want to support those affected in an emergency and offer them an initial shelter. Aktion Noteingang Lichtenberg is part of a Berlin-wide network. It is funded by the Lichtenberg district authority and is run by pad gGmbH.
Your Tasks
Actively approaching new establishments:
- People who enjoy walking and are out and about a lot in Lichtenberg and Hohenschönhausen should approach stores, restaurants and public facilities and inform them about the campaign.
Support for workshops and training courses:
- Help to run workshops to train staff in facilities so that they can respond appropriately in emergency situations. The workshops deal with topics such as civil courage and raising awareness of different forms of discrimination.

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
