Volunteers for the Johanniter School Ambulance Service

In the Johanniter Youth, children and young people are encouraged to actively contribute their own ideas, organize their free time in a meaningful way, help others and take on responsibility. This is exactly what is practiced in the school first aid service. Here, pupils take responsibility for their fellow pupils. They help where necessary and can provide qualified first aid in emergency situations. The focus is on first aid. The Johanniter Youth School Ambulance Service has been an important part of our association's youth work for decades.

You are responsible for training the school paramedics. This includes teaching first aid measures, practicing emergency scenarios and imparting knowledge of basic medical principles. You will organize and conduct regular training and practice sessions to ensure that the school paramedics are well prepared and can apply their skills in an emergency. You support the organizational planning and implementation of first aid services at school events, sports festivals or excursions and motivate the team.

Do you already have experience in first aid and would like to pass on your knowledge or are you new to this field but would like to be trained in this area? Become part of our team and train dedicated pupils in first aid! As a trainer in the school first aid service, you will help to teach important skills and prepare pupils for emergencies.

The school first aid services take place weekly at our schools in the city of Salzgitter and are currently carried out by the teachers. You are prepared to be present at the school every 2-3 weeks to carry out regular first aid training and exercises. The time period can be arranged flexibly so that you are either active on a regular basis (e.g. every 2 weeks) or by arrangement with the school.
