About the volunteering opportunity
Would you like to support people who are new to Germany? We are looking for committed volunteers to help newly arrived people from an initial reception center in Biesdorf with their first orientation in Berlin. This involves very practical help in everyday life: Where do buses and trains leave from and how do I buy a ticket? How do I find my way to the office or doctor's surgery?
Your Tasks
As a companion, you will help to make the first steps in a new environment easier. All you need is some knowledge of Berlin, time and enjoyment of contact with people.
We look forward to your support!

"...because proximity counts" is the guiding principle that drives us to provide help where it is needed. In Berlin, we are there where we are needed with over 1,000 volunteers, and throughout Germany with over 52,000 volunteers: in disaster control, in integration, for lonely, elderly and sick people, for children and young people, for the dying and the grieving.
