About the volunteering opportunity
The Siemensstadt district festival is a lively neighbourhood festival that will take place on 21 June 2025 from 3 pm to 10 pm around the Jugendplatz in Berlin-Siemensstadt. It is organized by the social-cultural network casa e.V. and is part of the international Fête de la Musique. Visitors can expect a varied music and cultural program with live performances for young and old, including belly dancing, Ukrainian music, German rap and a performance by the Siemensstadt Big Band with jazz, swing, Latin and pop. In addition, local stores, clubs and initiatives will present themselves with hands-on activities and there will be a varied food offer. Admission is free and the festival offers an opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity of the neighborhood and make new contacts.
Your Tasks
Volunteers have the option of selecting one or more areas:
1. Carrying assistance

- Carrying and setting up tables and chairs
- Set up pavilions and create shaded areas
- Fill hand-washing trolleys with water and set them up in the right places
2. Decoration

- Put up notices (e.g. for toilets and photo information)
- Inflate and distribute balloons
- Hang up bunting to decorate the area for the festive season
3. Cleanliness

- Keeping an overview of cleanliness
- Actively collect garbage with bin tongs and buckets
- Dispose of waste properly
- Distribute spit guards at the food and information stands
