About the volunteering opportunity
In our project, we guide groups through the city and make the global impact of our consumption visible at various stations - for example on topics such as clothing, digital data usage or plastic. It's not just about criticism, but also about alternatives and options for action in everyday life.
Your Tasks
The commitment is structured as follows:
- Prepare and moderate one or more stations (e.g. on the topics of clothing, food, cosmetics, digitalization ...).
a tour usually consists of three stations, and there are usually two of you - so you can divide the tour up well. :D - Communicate content in an understandable and appealing way - for example with interactive methods, quizzes or short inputs.
- Get participants talking and facilitate discussions.
- If interested: develop new stations or rethink the existing concept.
We are always happy to hear fresh ideas from volunteers!
iIf you like, you can also revise existing stations - there is always something to do to keep the content up to date and exciting. :D
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You don't need any previous knowledge or special training for the consumption-critical city tour - what's important is an interest and a desire to engage with social issues.
Helpful are:
- An interest in topics such as consumption, sustainability and global justice
- Enjoy talking to people :)
- Openness to engaging with new perspectives
