About the volunteering opportunity

Would you like to get involved in volunteering and support people in their voluntary work? We are looking for an assistant who will supervise and support our volunteers within the association and create the framework conditions for successful volunteering. You will be the central point of contact for our volunteers, organize their work, promote communication and ensure a culture of appreciation. Become part of our team and help us to support and promote volunteering in the long term!

Your Tasks

  • Supervision and support of existing volunteers in the association
  • Organization and moderation of exchange meetings, feedback sessions and training courses
  • Supporting the induction of new volunteers
  • Contact person for questions, concerns and conflicts within the team
  • Developing and implementing measures for recognition and appreciation
  • Support in planning and coordinating tasks
  • Documentation and administration of assignments (e.g. activity reports, reimbursement of costs)
  • Ensuring data protection and compliance with legal requirements (e.g. certificate of good conduct, insurance)
  • Contributing to the further development of the volunteering culture and structures in the association
  • Support in developing strategies to contribute to stable association work

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
  • Experience in working with volunteers or in volunteer management is an advantage
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Empathy, ability to work in a team and conflict resolution skills
  • Reliable, structured and independent way of working
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics
  • Knowledge of moderation, consulting or personnel management is a plus
  • Openness to different target groups and forms of engagement
  • Basic knowledge of data protection and legal framework desirable
  • Ideally experience in the planning and implementation of events or training courses

For this volunteer work, you should expect to spend around 5 to 15 hours a month. The time allocation is flexible and can be easily combined with your everyday life. You can do many tasks on the move or from home.
