About the volunteering opportunity
The Gast-Haus is a meeting place with an inviting guest room where guests, who usually live on the margins of society under very difficult conditions, should feel at home. We offer every guest our hospitality, our advice and our help in a welcoming atmosphere.
We need support in our clothing distribution, where it is important to meet guests at eye level and be able to give them a smile. The hygiene center is a place where people who are homeless or in precarious situations can shower and are provided with clothing and drugstore products.
You will need a basic knowledge of German for this volunteering opportunity.

The Gast-Haus was created by volunteers and can only create a dignified place for people in need of help thanks to its many volunteers. Anyone who would like to help is welcome and can contribute their skills and abilities.

- Preparation of the clothing distribution
- Distribution of clothing and drugstore products to our guests as required

The Guest House is an initiative that wants to create hospitable space in Dortmund for homeless and needy people, from which they are not expelled, but rather welcome.
Our primary goal is to meet our guests, who often have to live under very difficult conditions, in a way that corresponds to their dignity and respects them.
We provide our guests with a good breakfast, a hot lunch, a shower and fresh clothes. In addition, we offer an in-house medical practice as well as counseling services in the social and legal fields.
