About the volunteering opportunity
The association makes it possible for a free hot meal to be served to people in need on Sundays and for food to be distributed. Volunteers organize the food on Fridays and collect the donations from individual food retailers in our vehicles on Saturdays. From Sunday morning onwards, vegetables are chopped and cooked so that people of all ages can receive their hot meal promptly from 12 noon without having to provide proof of need.
Your Tasks
The Nachbarschaftszentrum Suppenküche Lichtenrade e.V. is looking for packaging artists who can bag bread rolls in a colorful mix to match the number of guests and lovingly sort pieces of cake into bags. Similar vegetable and fruit bags are creatively put together from the available food donations, whereby a final check on usability is necessary.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
You should enjoy working with food, be able to work in a team, be tolerant towards guests and other volunteers, enjoy improvising, be reliable and conscientious. Individual training is also provided.
