What is the project about?
In our SCHNUPPERTAGE HANDWERK (Craft taster days) project, senior citizens run interactive workshops for young people. In four hours, they give a lively insight into their former profession - in a very practical way, with real tools, materials and personal experiences from everyday working life.
This creates learning at eye level: young people experience skilled trades directly and gain new impetus for their professional future - without any pressure, but with an impact.

- Period: School year 2025/2026
- Duration: 4 hours per workshop
- Participants: max. 15 pupils per workshop
- Location: Our workshop in the Kulturfabrik Moabit, at schools or youth clubs (by arrangement)
- Accompaniment: Always with a pedagogical specialist from Sonay Soziales Leben e. V.
- Number of assignments: flexible by arrangement
What we offer
- An expense allowance of 80 € per workshop
- Support with planning and implementation
- Integration into our social network
Your Tasks
We are looking for committed seniors who:
- have practiced a skilled trade (e.g. electrician, tailor, carpenter, mechatronics engineer, mechanic - or others!),
- Enjoy teaching young people something,
- are patient, reliable and open in your dealings with young people.
