Practicing German in conversation at the DRK Frankfurt

For people with a refugee or migrant background, German language skills are an important basis for participation and self-determination. At the same time, there is often a lack of opportunities to practise these skills. That's why the DRK Frankfurt shelters are always on the lookout for volunteers to help adults learn German. This commitment helps to break down language barriers and open up new perspectives - for both sides! We are currently looking for volunteers for our locations in the districts of Sachsenhausen, Oberrad, Ginnheim, Riedberg and Frankfurter Berg.

This is what volunteering can look like: 

Meet up with a person or small group once a week for 1-2 hours, for example. Whether it's a walk together, tea and cookies, learning materials at the table or leisure activities - the main thing is that you get talking! In this way, people can improve their language skills and apply what they have learned in courses.
