About the volunteering opportunity
Werte (er)leben is an educational project for children and young people in the seventh to ninth grades which provides
participants a basic understanding of the importance of personal and social values and increases their awareness of values. In three workshop modules, they learn what values are and recognize their own personal values. They immerse themselves in worlds of values and experience first-hand how values shape the way we live together. Together, they work out which values are important to them in the community and discuss the basic values of our free and democratic society.

Your Tasks
For the implementation of the project at various partner schools in Frankfurt am Main, we are looking for committed people who would like to be trained by us as "value coaches" and implement the workshops as workshop leaders. The following tasks await you as a values coach:
- You will take part in our "Value Coach" training. This consists of a training event, digital learning opportunities, shadowing and bilateral coaching sessions.
- You will be responsible for the planning, preparation and implementation of the "Living Values" workshop modules.
- You will supervise at least one class across the three workshop modules. Depending on time availability, you can of course also offer the workshops in several classes.
- Module 1: You conduct a basic workshop on the topic of "Values" at the respective partner school.
- Module 2: You visit a "Values World" from our partner network together with the class and conduct a workshop on the topic of "Values in Groups" on site together with the contact persons of the "Values World".
- Module 3: You conduct a final workshop on the topic of "social values" and lead a discussion with a "values role model" from sport and society.
What's needed
Volunteers must be native German speakers.
What you should bring with you:
- Experience in working with children and young people and/or in a related field.
- A desire to learn more about the topic of "values" and to acquire appropriate methods.
- Ability to work independently and enjoy designing an innovative educational project.
- Confident and self-assured appearance in front of groups.
- Particular reliability, a sense of responsibility and sensitivity, especially when dealing with young people.
- Time availability in the mornings (at least three mornings per school).
- Strong awareness of the importance of liberal-democratic values in our society.
