Sun, moon and stars

Sonne, Mond und Sterne is a project for neighborhood childcare at off-peak times. It is aimed at single parents who need help with childcare early in the morning, in the evening or at weekends. 

Dedicated people from the neighborhood volunteer to take on individual childcare assignments.

The project offers an expense allowance of 15 euros per hour as part of the trainer allowance, as well as training and joint meetings for exchange and appreciation.

The volunteer caregivers support single parents in their everyday lives, especially at times when other services are not available. The tasks are based on the needs of the family and are agreed individually.

Other tasks are discussed together with the families and the project coordinator. What is important is a basis of trust, good communication and reliability on the part of everyone involved - both the volunteers and the families.

Reliability, enjoyment of working with children and sensitivity to different living conditions and cultural backgrounds are important prerequisites for working on the project.

The time required for volunteer childcare is agreed on an individual basis. The assignments are planned on a monthly basis and determined together with the volunteers.
