About the volunteering opportunity
As a wellcome volunteer, you give mothers and fathers a little break from everyday life. This allows parents to recharge their batteries so that they don't lose sight of the most important thing - the joy of their child!
The first few months after the birth of a child are a big challenge for all parents. With the wellcome - practical help after the birth service, we support parents who would like some relief during this time, especially when other helping hands are missing. Our volunteers provide families with practical and uncomplicated everyday support.
Your Tasks
Give young parents a good start to family life. As a wellcome volunteer, you help in a very concrete way: a walk with the baby, playing with the sibling or accompanying the mother or father to the pediatrician. And it's very flexible: you meet the family once or twice a week for 2 - 3 hours for 3 - 4 months. Then the next family is already looking forward to it. No special qualifications are necessary, as you will be well supported by your team coordinator.
